U.S. Forest Service to turn over unredacted Thirtymile fire report

WASHINGTON, DC - Energy & Natural Resources Committee Chairman Pete Domenici (R-NM) and U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) today secured a commitment from the Department of Agriculture to release the 4,000 page unredacted report on the Thirtymile Fire.

Senator Maria Cantwell's statement:

"Although I'm pleased with today's decision, it's long overdue. I've been asking for the unredacted Thirtymile Fire report for the last nine months because it is critical to our oversight of the Forest Service. We need to make sure the Forest Service learns from this report, to help prevent another tragedy like the Thirtymile Fire from ever happening again."
