Senator David Perdue: Democrats Continue Campaign Of Disinformation On Pre-Existing Conditions

U.S. Senator David Perdue (R-GA) comments on Senate Democrats' efforts to reverse a successful Trump Administration healthcare policy:

"Democrats are accusing Republicans of voting to take away protections for pre-existing conditions. Nothing could be further from the truth. Yet again, Democrats are deliberately misinforming the American people for their own political gain. To be clear: the Trump Administration's guidance on 1332 waivers does not remove protections for pre-existing conditions. In reality, the guidance has brought relief to millions of Americans unable to afford coverage under Obamacare. Average premiums dropped nearly eight percent last year in states that received waivers and increased by three percent in those that did not. The President is working to give the American people more affordable insurance options, while Democrats sit on their hands. They cannot get away with this campaign of disinformation."
