Kuster Statement on Public Impeachment Hearings

Statement

Date: Nov. 13, 2019
Location: Washington, DC

Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) released the following statement on the beginning of the public impeachment inquiry hearings:

"Today is a somber moment for our nation, but a necessary step for our democracy as the House held the first public hearing in the impeachment inquiry into President Trump's alleged abuse of power. The American people deserve the truth, and it's critical that we all have an opportunity to hear from witnesses and evaluate the evidence. While I have not prejudged the outcome, I trust the constitutional process and I believe that this inquiry is a crucial step to protect our national security and our democracy."
