One of the newest members of the House of Representatives has joined the House Committee on Small Business. Congressman Dan Bishop (R-NC), elected on September 10, 2019, will serve on the Rural Development, Agriculture, Trade, and Entrepreneurship Subcommittee.

Ranking Member Steve Chabot (R-OH) welcomed Congressman Bishop to the Small Business Committee, saying, "Congressman Bishop's experience as a county commissioner and state legislator gives him valuable insight to the needs of America's Main Streets, and we're lucky to have him on the Small Business Committee."

"Small businesses are the lifeblood of the American economy," said Representative Bishop. "I'm eager to get to work protecting our job creators from government overreach, helping them to thrive and create jobs for American workers."
