Issue Position

Premiums, deductibles, and out-of-pocket health care expenses continue to soar. With monthly health insurance premiums often rivaling household expenses for housing and utilities, consumers are forced to make difficult choices. I do not believe that a government-run system will improve this dynamic. Instead, I will prioritize transparency and competition in the system as well as innovations to expand access and drive down costs for care and prescription medications.
