As an avid hunter, gun owner, and concealed carry permit holder, Senator Ben Chafin is a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment and our gun rights. Having the right to protect and defend your body, home, family and your freedom is paramount to the foundation of our country. Gun ownership is a right that must be protected and defended.

Senator Chafin has a consistent and steadfast record of defending our Second Amendment rights and protecting your right to bear arms. Ben has carried and sponsored numerous pieces of legislation to expand and protect gun rights and has always voted against any legislation that infringed upon the Second Amendment.

Senator Chafin was instrumental in fighting back against Governor Northam's gun grabbing Special Session in July of 2019. The Governors' proposals were an infringement on the Second Amendment and would have only hurt law abiding gun owners. Governor Northam called the special session for no other reason than to create a political show. The entire process was an overtly partisan attempt to enact liberal gun reform.

The Second Amendment is sacred to the fabric of our country and way of life. As your Senator, Ben Chafin will always support gun rights and the Second Amendment.
