Issue Position

Melanie is opposed to Obamacare's expansion of Medicaid in our state, realizing that if not correctly managed the ever-expanding program will bankrupt our state and nation. She will fight to reform and save Medicaid, not expand an already flawed and fiscally reckless program. Melanie will work to make Medicaid financially solvent. She will also fight to increase healthcare options, lower costs, provide cheaper prescriptions. She will work to make care readily available and affordable to Mississippians by allowing more freedom and competition in the marketplace.
