Therefore, it is critical that a lawmaker understands an essential principle of economic growth -- it is not the role of government to create jobs, but instead to create an environment that stimulates job creation and economic productivity. Melanie will trust the private sector, allow businesses to develop wealth, grow, and invest in the future. She will fight to keep taxes low, reduce government red tape, and reward success.
