Congressman Paul Mitchell (MI-10) released the following after voting in favor of the bipartisan Senate Amendment to H.R. 3401, the Emergency Supplemental Appropriations for Humanitarian Assistance and Security at the Southern Border Act.

"I'm glad House Democrats agreed to work with House Republicans to pass the bipartisan Senate bill that provides badly needed humanitarian aid and resources needed to deal with the crisis at the border," said Mitchell. "While the bill is not perfect, it is far better than the previous alternative. This bill not only provides humanitarian aid and increased resources at the border, it also ensures our men and women in law enforcement are paid for their work."

Earlier today, Congressman Mitchell requested a vote on the floor for the bill, and spoke in support of its passage.
