Roby Votes in Favor of Disaster Relief for The Wiregrass

Press Release

U.S. Representative Martha Roby (R-AL) today voted in favor of the House disaster aid package that includes $3 billion for farmers throughout the country who have suffered loss from hurricanes, wildfires, droughts, and floods.

"I have one vote in Congress, and it is my job to use that vote in the best interest of the people I represent in Southeast Alabama," Representative Roby said. "This disaster aid bill is far from perfect, but it is a step towards getting our farmers in the Wiregrass the help they need after Hurricane Michael devastated the region last October. I hope the Senate acts quickly so that we can come together, work out the differences, and hopefully send an improved bill to the President's desk. This relief for our farmers is long overdue."

H.R. 2157, the Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2019, passed the House by a vote of 257-150.

Representative Roby also voiced her support for agriculture disaster relief on "The Jeff Poor Show" earlier this week.
