Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03) released the following statement on the passing of former Senator Richard Lugar (R-IN), former Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

"Senator Lugar was one of the most extraordinary people I've ever known, and it was an honor of a lifetime to be able to work for him when I was younger. He taught me that being a public servant is to have humility and constant focus on those you serve. He told me that bipartisanship isn't just about getting legislation passed, it is about treating each other with respect. He inspired me to live a life of foreign policy and national security, and I feel humbled to walk the halls of Congress where he showed our nation the best of public service. I hope he knew how much he meant to so many people. I miss him dearly and honor his life and service."
