Today, Rep. Susie Lee (NV-03) released the following statement celebrating the passage of H.R. 9, Climate Action Now Act, which included her amendment addressing drought and water shortages caused by climate change:

"Southern Nevada knows the effects of climate change all too well. As a result of extreme temperatures and weather patterns, we could be facing a water shortage in the near future. The water supply at Lake Mead is currently dangerously low and could reach emergency levels by 2020. That is why I introduced an amendment to make sure drought and water shortages are being addressed in the Climate Action Now Act. It's long past due for Washington to do something about this crisis, my amendment and this legislation gets us one step closer."
