Duffy Leads Effort To Remove Unexploded Ordnance In Southeast Asia

Wisconsin Congressman Sean Duffy, ranking member of the Financial Services Subcommittee on Housing & Insurance, today co-introduced bipartisan legislation to remove unexploded ordnance in southeast Asia. The legislation is co-introduced by Rep. Anna Eshoo (D-CA), Foreign Affairs Committee Vice Chair Joaquin Castro (D-TX), and House Foreign Affairs Committee Ranking Member Michael McCaul (R-TX).

"I urge my Republican and Democrat colleagues to follow through on America's commitment to remove unexploded ordnance from Southeast Asia," said Congressman Duffy. "We have a moral obligation to assist with mine cleanup, because unexploded ordnance from the U.S. bombing campaign over the region still endangers people as they go about their daily lives. Additionally, I'm proud that this legislation honors the Hmong freedom fighters who fought alongside U.S. armed forces in the Vietnam War. Their service must always be remembered."
