Larson Votes to Restore Net Neutrality

Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) voted in favor of the "Save the Internet Act" (H.R. 1644), which restores strong, commonsense net neutrality protections.

"Restoring net neutrality is vital to ensuring Americans have access to an open and free internet," said Larson. "I have heard from many of my constituents on how important net neutrality is to them. I applaud Congressman Mike Doyle for spearheading this legislation and leading the fight to make sure the internet belongs to the people."

The Save the Internet Act revives necessary provisions for maintaining an open internet, like enhancing transparency protections, ensuring nondiscriminatory treatment of internet traffic, and reauthorizing the FCC to fund broadband in rural communities and for low-income Americans, including veterans, seniors, students, and disabled Americans.
