Congressman Lowenthal Supports House Resolution Calling For Release Of Special Counsel Mueller Report

Statement

Date: March 14, 2019
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Alan Lowenthal (CA-47) today issued the following statement on the passage in the House of a resolution stating that it is the sense of Congress that the report of Special Counsel Robert Mueller should be made available to the public and to Congress:

"The American people deserve transparency and accountability. They deserve to understand the nature of Russian interference in our elections, and the truth about any Trump Campaign coordination with these efforts.

"The Special Counsel's report must be made public. Our democracy was attacked, and the American people need to know by whom and to what end. I voted today in support of H.Con.Res.24 to ensure just that, and I will support all efforts by Congressional investigators to ensure that the Trump Administration does not hide the truth from the American people."
