The following is a statement from Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03) following his meeting today with Acting Secretary of Defense Shanahan:

"Any chance I get to meet with the Acting Secretary, or any officials at the Department of Defense, is an opportunity to advocate for the men and women in uniform that serve at our Joint Base. I was proud to speak up on behalf of the tens of thousands of jobs the base represents and look forward to being a strong voice on the House Armed Services Committee for the upcoming KC-46 mission and for attracting new missions and training opportunities to this critical facility."
