Energy and Commerce Republican Leader Greg Walden (R-OR), and Consumer Protection and Commerce Subcommittee Republican Leader Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) issued the following statement after Hon. Ann Marie Buerkle was recently renominated to serve as the Chairman of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

"We are pleased to see that Ann Marie Buerkle has been formally nominated to Chair the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Since joining the Commission in 2013, she has shown her commitment to protecting consumers while ensuring the safety of products in the market, and we know she will continue to do an excellent job leading the agency. We look forward to her swift confirmation and to working with Chairman Buerkle in the 116th Congress," said Walden and McMorris Rodgers.
