Following the news of the death of Chief Petty Officer Cryptologic Technician Shannon M. Kent while serving our country in Syria, U.S. Representative Antonio Delgado (NY-19) released the following statement:
"Shannon M. Kent devoted her life to protecting our country and defending democracy--this is a terrible tragedy and heartbreaking loss. She provides an example to all of us with her dedication and sacrifice for our country, and her memory will live on because she defined what true service means. My thoughts and prayers are with her children, husband, and the rest of her family and friends at this difficult time."
