Simon Wiesenthal

Simon Wiesenthal was an inspirational leader in the fight for global human rights who came to embody the slogan ‘Never Again.' After enduring the unimaginable horrors of the Holocaust, Wiesenthal devoted his life to bringing his persecutors to justice and to stopping persecution, intolerance and acts of hate throughout the world. In establishing the Museum of Tolerance in California, he built a human rights legacy for the world—an institution created to monitor and report on hate crimes worldwide and call the civilized world to action. That is why I am an original co-sponsor of H.Con.Res.248, commemorating Simon Wiesenthal's life and renewing our commitment to fighting against anti-Semitism and intolerance in all forms, in all forums, and in all nations.
