We have all witnessed the devastating effects that prescription drugs and heroin have had on our community. Mike understands that this tragic epidemic is growing and we must act now to solve this deadly issue. Standing alongside lawmakers on both sides of the aisle, he is working tirelessly on legislation to combat opioid and heroin abuse in both the Anne Arundel County and the State.

Here in Anne Arundel County, it is important that we are engaged and promote awareness in our community. Mike applauds County Executive Schuh and our local government for their initiative, creating the Heroin Action Taskforce and the NOT MY CHILD outreach program. The NOT MY CHILD program focuses on awareness-based prevention and provides invaluable resources from emergency hotlines to treatment centers and recovery homes--which are essential to making a difference.
