Issue Position: Transportation

I am a strong supporter of transportation and East Metro Strong.

We MUST begin to address transportation funding in Minnesota. I will do my best in the Minnesota Legislature to make sure that we begin to increase transportation funding in the state.

The impacts of built-out transit systems for the region brought about The Itasca Project. It was discovered that operating and manufacturing such a system would create a high rate of return and billions of dollars of net benefit. Majority of the benefit would result from road users.

As East Metro Strong says,

"We can't settle for a statewide transportation plan that ignores critical projects that would serve major employers in the east metro."
