Kentucky cannot tax, borrow, or spend its way to prosperity. Income taxes should be low and the system should be fair. I am committed to fighting stifling policies for you and your loved ones, making sure that Frankfort is accountable to the people. The right way to spur the economy is by putting more money in families' pockets and less in Frankfort's tax ledger. We have to do this in a measured and thoughtful manner. During the 2018 budgeting year, we began a multistep process. Our legislators lowered income taxes and implemented a fair flat rate. Don't believe the lies; this was not a tax reduction for the rich. This past session translated into real money back in the pockets of working Kentuckians.
