The Second Amendment explicitly states that the God given right to bear arms "shall not be infringed."
Steven will fight to stop any new gun control laws and will support legislation to lessen current restrictions. South Carolina has some fairly restrictive laws, for example SC is one of only 5 states that prohibit open carry of firearms. Thanks to our legislature this places our state alongside California and New York with regards to restrictions on carry. This is one example of where SC needs improvement.
South Carolina also needs to pass a reciprocity agreement with Georgia to allow concealed carry over state lines. Other policy initiatives that should be introduced include constitutional carry and college campus carry.
