My Record
Along with growing our economy, public safety is my top priority as your state senator. I am proud of my record defending domestic violence victims, targeted children and victims of human trafficking.

I authored "Alicia's Law", which gives law enforcement the tools to predators engaged in internet crimes against children. Thanks to my law, over 400 sexual predators of children were arrested in0 2017 alone. I recently expanded the law to target human and sex trafficking so that even more predators will be taken off the streets!

I have authored or co-authored many laws protecting domestic violence victims during my term in office. In 2012, I was recognized for my efforts by the Wisconsin Coalition against Domestic Violence (now called End Domestic Abuse Now!) Whether it is providing more options to protect a domestic abuse victim from his or her abuser, or increasing penalties for domestic abuse, I will continue to fight to protect domestic abuse victims.
