"Our state is the worst in the nation on the issue of domestic violence. We are still the deadliest state in the world for those who are victims, and one of the easiest on perpetrators. That needs to change. I will work to ensure that we introduce legislation to amend these legal barriers to improvement and help programs designed to improve our culture regarding this issue."
