Republicans have been in complete control of this state for nearly a quarter century. What do they have to show for it? The third highest property taxes in the country.

Over that time, the state has continually shifted the burden of funding public education from the state to small businesses and homeowners. Our property taxes continue to rise while Republicans make sure tax loopholes for large corporate donors stay open.

I will fight to make sure the state pays its fair share toward educating all our students and to unburden families and small-business owners of crushing property tax bills. We will do this by making commercial property owners pay their share.
