One of Ohio's biggest issues is the opioid crisis. I served on the Speaker's Task Force on H.O.P.E.S (Heroin, Opioids, Prevention, Education and Safety) and through conversations with the ADAMHS board, local experts and concerned citizens, I have developed legislation to tackle the issue on multiple fronts. From promoting non-opioid based pain management treatment (HB 131), increasing penalties for drug dealers who sell near rehab facilities (HB 296), to getting more relevant data into the hands of our ADAMHS Boards (HB 535), this issue has been a priority for me since day one.
