Alexander Statement on Nomination of Cliff Corker to Serve as U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Tennessee

United States Senator Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) today released the following statement on President Trump's nomination of U.S. Magistrate Judge Cliff Corker to serve as a U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Tennessee:

"Judge Corker's 20 years of legal experience, including being selected in 2015 by the District Court judges for the Eastern District of Tennessee to serve as a U.S. Magistrate Judge, make him uniquely qualified for this position. He will serve our state with distinction, and Tennessee is fortunate to have such a well-qualified nominee who is willing to serve his state and his country. I hope the Senate will quickly consider his nomination."
