The engine of our economy starts with outstanding K-12, trade school, community college, and university programs that generate living-wage jobs.

I've collaborated closely with school districts, teachers and staff throughout the 10th District, and I will use my experience to ensure that our public schools are safe, fully-funded, and preparing students for the jobs of tomorrow.

While claiming to "support and advocate for legislation that funded education first", my opponent's performance says otherwise. As a member of the House Education Committee, he failed to work with his colleagues to fully fund education in accordance with McCleary Order of 2012 -- causing the State Supreme Court to intervene. He also Voted AGAINST Banning Firearms Accessories Known As Bump Stocks (SB 5922), leaving our schools vulnerable to mass shootings.

I'm absolutely dedicated to partnering with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to ensure our schools are fully and equitably funded to support the development of a 21st century workforce. We must ensure that the residents of the 10th District get the right training for the jobs of tomorrow, and I support investments in learning institutions that will result in development of top-tier research facilities and careers in renewable energy.

I'm also committed to affordable college education and will work with my colleagues to explore the potential of free two-year community college and technical education opportunities for all Washington residents.
