Moscow Magistrate Judge Named to Succeed Stegner as 2nd District Judge

Governor C.L. "Butch"Otter announced the appointment today of Moscow Magistrate John C. Judge to the Moscow-based Second Judicial District judgeship left vacant by the recent appointment of Judge John Stegner to the Idaho Supreme Court.

Judge, a Moscow native, has a bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and is a graduate of the University of Idaho's College of Law. He served as a partner in the Landeck, Westberg, Judge and Graham law firm prior to joining the bench. He also previously worked as a contract attorney with the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, Bureau of Child Support Services.

"I am deeply grateful to be entrusted with this responsibility to the law and to the people of Idaho," said Judge. "I pledge to work hard every day to deserve that trust and continue my public service as a District Judge. Thank you, Governor Otter, for giving me this opportunity to serve."
