Issue Position

Gun violence is an epidemic in our country. Joe has consistently opposed the NRA's radical positions on gun ownership and he's fighting to crack down on illegal firearms from being brought into New York. Joe is the co-sponsor of legislation that would require universal background checks, as well as co-sponsor of a bill to ban dangerous assault weapons, like those used in the mass shooting tragedies in Parkland, Las Vegas, and others.
