As the author of the TEACH Act, I am wholeheartedly against common core. Our teachers and parents know how best to educate our kids, which is why I have proposed getting rid of the Department of Education. Let's keep our tax dollars here and make education a priority. It's time to give our kids the competitive edge in an increasingly globalized world. This includes increased support for vocational trades and non-traditional education models.
