U.S Senator Claire McCaskill issued the following statement today following the death of U.S. Senator John McCain of Arizona:

"I feel so fortunate that I had a chance to learn from him and laugh with him. He was a tremendous role model for our democracy, a man who gave his life to the public good and put real meaning in the words "country first.' My love to the McCain family. There will never be another like John McCain."
