Alexander Votes to Confirm Robert Wilkie to Serve as Secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs

United States Senator Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) today released the following statement on his vote to confirm Robert Wilkie to serve as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs:

"Robert Wilkie has been responsible for making sure the Defense Health Agency provides health care to 9.4 million active duty troops, military retirees, and their families and he is well-qualified to lead the Department of Veterans Affairs. He has the experience needed to help ensure our nation's veterans -- including more than 500,000 Tennesseans -- are able to receive the quality care and benefits they have earned and deserve."
