Issue Position

Serving on the Budget Committee in the House, Vicky helped lead to passage the Balanced Budget Resolution which mandates a balanced budget within seven years and reduces the federal deficit by seven trillion dollars. Vicky believes the federal government should balance its budget just as the families she represents must do. She knows the out-of- control spending will bury future generations under a mountain of debt that will limit their opportunities to be financially secure.

And, to lead by example, Vicky has operated her office in such an efficient manner that she has been able to come in under budget every year and return thousands of dollars to the treasury.
