Claire McCaskill Rallies with Supporters on Primary Night, Highlights What's at Stake this Fall

Date: Aug. 7, 2018
Location: Columbia, MO

This evening, Senator Claire McCaskill rallied a crowd of enthusiastic supporters at the Columbia Coordinated Field Office, thanking them for their hard work and highlighting what's at stake in November.

"I am so grateful for the thousands of Missourians who have knocked on doors, made phone calls, and worked to ensure that folks in their communities know what's at stake this fall. Everywhere I go, I hear about the importance of protecting folks with pre-existing conditions and speaking out against the Administration's trade war that is hurting Missouri farmers, ranchers, and manufacturers. I will never stop being an independent voice for Missouri, and I will continue to work with anyone -- from either party -- to get things done." -- Senator Claire McCaskill

Claire is a proven fighter for Missouri, who will stop at nothing to get results for hard-working Missourians. She held over 50 town halls in just over a year, to hear directly from Missourians so that she can better represent them in the Senate. President Trump has signed over 25 pieces of legislation that Claire helped to draft, sponsored, or co-sponsored. And she is one of the Senate's leading investigators -- working with her Republican colleagues to stop online sex trafficking and lower the cost of prescription drugs. Claire's investigation into the role that opioid manufacturers have played in the opioid crisis has been called the "largest Congressional investigation" -- and one CEO has already been put in jail. Claire's number one priority is doing what's best for the people of Missouri -- and nothing will ever change that.
