Issue Position: Job Creation and Economic Growth

Issue Position

I spent my entire career in business, creating jobs and preparing people for a competitive work force. I know that the best way to grow the economy is for government to get out of the way of our job creators.

I am proud to have helped eliminate dozens of burdensome Obama-era regulations. I am also proud to have supported a tax cut for American families that has increased paychecks and created jobs across the country.

As your member of Congress these are my priorities to strengthen and grow our economy:

Continue to reduce the massive regulatory burden placed on the American economy by federal bureaucracies which stifle growth with little benefit to our nation.
Develop programs that give our young people the information and tools to make decisions about their education that will allow them to be more competitive in the modern workforce.
Work to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse in our social welfare system which exploded under the Obama administration and have driven costs ever higher.
Take steps to protect and preserve Social Security and Medicare so the promises we made to our seniors can be honored.
Pass and enforce work requirements for welfare programs that help instill the dignity of work and receiving a paycheck while breaking the cycle of cradle-to-grave government dependency.
Prioritize spending away from wasteful purposes toward programs that help to grow our economy like investment in our infrastructure.
Advance an all-of-the-above energy strategy that promotes new and innovative technology while at the same time opening up more federal lands to energy exploration and development.
Eliminate taxpayer money for crony capitalism that allows the government to pick winners and losers in the economy.
