My inspirations for seeking public office are my three girls: Laura, Helen, and Susie. Every generation has the responsibility to pass on a nation better than they received it. But today the cloud of big government threatens this legacy.

I take my mission statement directly from the Declaration of Independence: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. -- That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed." Simply, government was created to secure our rights and elected representatives work for the people. Sadly, we are on track to leave our children a nation buried beneath a mountain of debt with politicians and bureaucrats in Washington controlling even the most routine aspects of our lives. We are losing our freedom not to a tyrant -- but from government itself. I refuse to accept this future for our children.

I believe America's success story has volumes yet to be written and it is our duty to ensure the next generation inherits a nation just as strong, secure, and prosperous as previous generations have passed down throughout our history. America is at a tipping point. We must protect our liberty, restore the core mission of government, and renew the promise of the American Dream. That is why I am running for Congress -- please join me!
