Statement

Congressman Keith Rothfus (PA-12) issued the following statement on the released GDP second-quarter report:

"Today's announcement that our economy grew at a 4.1 percent annual rate, the highest growth in four years, is a win for Western Pennsylvanians and all Americans," said Congressman Rothfus. "Our economy is finally growing at a pace that will provide better jobs, higher wages, and more opportunity for American workers. Our historic tax cuts and right-sized regulation contributed greatly to the economic turnaround."

"Many critics have said that 4 percent growth was a thing of the past. Republicans in Congress have shown that when Washington supports opportunity and stops stifling it with high taxes and overregulation, our economy can prosper."
