Press Release

Date: June 26, 2018
Location: Washington, DC

Yesterday, Representative John Culberson (TX-07), a senior member of the House Appropriations Committee, voted yes on important legislation that supports the House's continued action to fight sex and drug traffickers. H.R. 6069 -- the Fight Illicit Networks and Detect (FIND) Trafficking Act directs the Government Accountability Office to report on the use of virtual currencies and online marketplaces in sex and drug trafficking.

Representative Culberson issued the following statement on the FIND Trafficking Act.

"Houston has the highest number of trafficking victims nation-wide, and I have made it a top priority in Congress to fight this global crisis. The FIND Trafficking Act will help us better understand how traffickers are using online market places to engage with their illicit networks and profit from their exploitation. I will continue to do everything in my power to fight against modern-day slavery at home in the Seventh District and across the globe."
