Said Rep. Walters, "Just as society developed a comprehensive effort to reduce alcohol-impaired driving, we must do the same to combat the growing prevalence of drug-impaired driving. An estimated 43 percent of fatal crashes involve drug-impaired drivers, putting Orange County residents in harm's way. I appreciate Jennifer Harmon with the Orange County Crime Lab appearing before the Committee today and sharing the good work the County is doing to put an end to drugged driving offenses. I am committed to doing everything possible to keep Orange County safe and drugged drivers off our streets."
