The United States plays an indispensable role in the world. Nita believes that American global leadership can strengthen the forces of democracy, improve international security, and raise living standards.

A Strong Military: Nita is determined to support our armed forces and ensure that our nation maintains the strongest, best fighting force in the world. She has worked to provide fair compensation for our service men and women, additional assistance for military families, and procurement reform to cut down on wasteful spending.

International Engagement: Nita understands that international aid and development polices are essential to American security and economic interests. She has worked to support global public health and education initiatives that save lives, combat terrorism, and establish trading partners for the United States.

Strengthening Alliances: Strong alliances advance America's interests, while also sharing the burden of international leadership. Nita has been a staunch advocate for our nation's core alliances, and has been a leading advocate in Congress for our bilateral relationship with Israel.
