Today, Gil Cisneros, Fmr. Lieutenant Commander who is running for Congress in California's 39th Congressional District, released the following statement in response to the Supreme Court's decision in the Janus v. AFSCME case:

"Today's Supreme Court decision is an attack on American workers and the public employees who serve our states and communities. By siding with the corporate and dark money special interests who bankrolled this case, the Court has ignored 40 years of precedent and sided against workers' rights. Unions have long paved the way for fair wages and better working conditions and help lift families up the economic ladder. I'll continue to stand with the brothers and sisters of labor and work to level the playing field for working families."
