Issues: Infrastructure

Many roads, bridges, highways, and other important elements of infrastructure have fallen into disrepair across America.

Furthermore, we do not want to leave future generations with worn-down highways and waterways, along with crippling debt.

I believe that President Trump's proposed bill is an excellent way to improve America's infrastructure. While the plan totals $1.5 trillion, only $200 billion of that money will be financed by the federal government, as the remaining $1.3 trillion will be financed by state and local governments, as well as private investors. To qualify for a grant to fund a toll road, transit system, telecom network, or whatever it may be, applicants would need to pay 80% of the cost of the project. Essentially, the costs of these projects will not come down on the backs of American taxpayers who are not directly impacted by it.

This plan will not only help restore and beautify this great country but will also tackle some of the most difficult transportation and telecommunication issues that occur when infrastructure falls into disrepair.
