Gil will protect Medicare and Social security from repeated Republican attacks.

Social Security protects many seniors from poverty, and we have to keep our promise to seniors and protect the benefits they have worked for and earned. Gil will fight any attempts by President Trump and Washington Republicans to cut or privatize Social Security or Medicare. He will also work to expand Social Security benefits to keep up with the rising costs faced by our parents, grandparents, and veterans. We can pay for this by scrapping the cap on what the most wealthy pay into Social Security to ensure millionaires pay the same rate into the program as the rest of us.
