Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed S. 2372, the VA MISSION Act. Congressman Bill Flores (R-Texas) released the following statement regarding passage of the bill:

"As Memorial Day approaches, we are reminded of the sacrifices that our military men and women make on behalf of our nation. With today's bipartisan passage of the VA MISSION Act, Congress is reaffirming its commitment to create a 21st century VA that puts our veterans first and provides the best possible care. The bill extends funding for the Veterans Choice Program, streamlines community care programs, works to right-size the VA and expands the Post-9/11 Caregiver Program to cover veterans from all eras. These reforms will help change the VA to better serve our nation's veterans."
