Issue Position

As a small town mayor, John made a promise to never raise taxes. He kept that promise, refusing to raise taxes a single penny for eight straight years. He firmly believes that at the federal level, our country has a spending problem, not a revenue problem. In Congress, he has voted for the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the biggest reform of our broken tax code since 1986. John has also co-sponsored the Fair Tax Act of 2017 and voted to eliminate the Death Tax.
