Issue Position

The United States has the best medical care in the world. In fact, some of the latest medical research and cutting-edge procedures are being developed and performed right here in Ohio. High costs often prevent people from obtaining this care.

I believe we each deserve access to quality health care at an affordable price, but ObamaCare was not a responsible plan. That is why I have voted to repeal it more than 50 times. It adds to our already out-of-control national debt and puts government between you and your doctor.

Now more than ever, we need to focus instead on market-based reforms that lower costs and increase access to patient-centered care. The American people deserve better than the current healthcare law and I will continue to work to find solutions that fit the needs of those I represent.
