Roby Statement on House Judiciary Committee Passage of the Music Modernization Act

U.S. Representative Martha Roby (R-AL) today released the following statement upon House Judiciary Committee passage of H.R. 5447, the Music Modernization Act, legislation to update our country's music licensing system:

"The Music Modernization Act is a critically important step towards finally bringing music licensing into the 21st Century. Our outdated laws have created burdensome hurdles for the individuals who create the music that Americans across our country enjoy. As a Music Business major in college, I have greatly enjoyed being part of this historic moment for the industry. I appreciate the leadership of Chairman Bob Goodlatte on this issue, and I look forward to supporting H.R. 5447 when it comes before the full House."
