Booker Statement on Growing Momentum behind Special Counsel Protection Effort

U.S. Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) issued the following statement:

"I'm encouraged by the growing momentum behind our bipartisan legislation to protect the special counsel from interference by the President. The bipartisan nature of this effort is absolutely essential to its success, and any amendments to our bill considered by the Judiciary Committee should be able to win bipartisan support."

Booker, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, is a lead sponsor of the Special Counsel Independence and Integrity Act along with Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Thom Tillis (R-NC), and Chris Coons (D-DE).
